TECH-Ed Conference 2014: Call for Posters – Extended Deadline

TECH-Ed is a two-day multidisciplinary conference focusing on the understanding and use of technology in teaching and learning in higher education. The overarching goal of the conference is to explore optimal ways to enhance student engagement, achievement, and life-long learning through the use of education technologies. With an emphasis on collaboration and networking, the conference will feature invited panels and presentations and the opportunity for participants to join experts for discussion. Topics include e-learning, flipped classrooms, STEM, Serious Educational Gaming (SEG), MOOCs, and more.

Poster presentations will be a highlight of TECH-Ed 2014; we invite all members of the higher education community to submit a poster proposal or just to participate. For a list of invited speakers, please visit theirwebsite: http://education.wsu.edu/teched.html

Poster Presentations

The 1-hour poster session allows for informal discussions with other participants while the exhibit is on display. Posters can display research, teaching tips, curriculum development ideas, and many other areas of interest. The exhibit should be self-explanatory.

Presenters exhibit their poster on a 4’ x 4’ display stand (provided). The poster should include a title, the name and institutional affiliation of the presenter(s), text, photos, drawings, graphs, charts or whatever best represents the topic. Posters will be set up in the morning on the day of the presentation; presenters are required to attend the conference and to be at their posters during the formal 1-hour poster session. The use of display hardware such as laptops can be accommodated if noted on the proposal form.

Proposals will be reviewed anonymously. In adjudicating proposals, the committee will seek balance in

  • range of topics
  • interests covered
  • proposal’s relevance to the needs of attendees

All proposals must be submitted online via:  http://education.wsu.edu/teched.html

EXTENDED Submission Deadline: July 15, 2014.   Notices of acceptance will be sent via email by August 15.  Up to 50 posters will be accepted this year.
