Knowledge Synthesis Grant: Spring 2015 Competition

Sponsor: Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR) Science, Knowledge Translation and Ethics Branch
Application deadlines:

  • May 12: OGPR deadline for faculty-level signature.
  • May 13: ORS deadline for institutional signature and e-approval.
  • May 15: CIHR national deadline.

Special notes: For your application to be eligible, it must include at least two project leaders: one independent researcher and one knowledge user. CIHR strongly recommends that each team include a content expert, an expert in synthesis methods and an information scientist/librarian. Applications are submitted via ResearchNet and electronically approved and submitted to CIHR by ORS on behalf of the applicant.

Transitional Open Operating Grant 2014-2015

Special notes: Applications are submitted via ResearchNet and electronically approved and submitted to CIHR by ORS on behalf of the applicant. CIHR is expecting “increased application pressure” for this competition. Please contact Heather Frost if you are interested in applying.

Small Research Grants in Areas of Inquiry

  • February 5: Spencer foundation deadline (4 pm CST).

Special Notes: The Spencer Foundation specifies that budgets of less than $50,000 may not include indirect costs. Please contact Heather Frost if you are considering applying.

Nine UBC Scholars will be selected in 2015-2016, comprised of:

  • Senior research scholars (full professors).
  • Early to mid-career scholars (Assistant or Associate professors).
  • Up to three awards will be given to current or former Wall Scholars to continue their interdisciplinary research for an additional year.
