Volunteer Opportunity for this year’s Graduate Student Orientation

Do you remember the fun and excitement which came with arriving at UBC during your first days as a Graduate Student? If you would like to share in that experience again, you can help out new students by volunteering during this year’s Graduate Student Orientation. It is a great way to network and share ideas in your field!
Volunteering will only take a few hours of your time and we guarantee you will have an awesome day meeting and greeting your new fellow graduate students. To top it all off, breakfast, snacks, lunch, and a free T-Shirt are on us! After the event, volunteers will receive a certificate documenting their volunteer hours.
If you are interested in applying to volunteer for this year’s main orientation day (August 29, 2013) or various orientation week events please fill out the survey form below by Friday, August 2nd (www.surveyfeedback.ca/surveys/wsb.dll/s/1g2983 ).
Opportunities include:
• Super volunteer/team lead on main orientation day
• Orientation Day volunteer
• Orientation week GSS event volunteer (various opportunities including the GSS hiking trip, boat cruise, museum and campus tours and the disorientation party)
