Lynn Miller Co-Investigator on $911,632 CIHR Operating Grant

Congratulations to Dr. Lynn Miller, ECPS, co-investigator on a 3-year Operating Grant ($911,632) from CIHR for the project, “Neural Correlates in Childhood-onset Obsessive Compulsive Disorder”.

The research team consists of Evelyn Stewart of BC Children’s Hospital, Principal Investigator, and Co-Investigators Lynn Miller, ECPS, William Honer and Todd Woodward, UBC Psychiatry.

The project targets new strategies for identification of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) risk factors, in order to enhance early identification of children at risk and to develop and prioritize treatment.  Lynn’s contributions are based on her extensive training and specialization in cognitive development and her expertise in applying and teaching CBT management of OCD and related anxiety disorders in youth.

This interdisciplinary project represents a significant collaboration between researchers with medical and clinical expertise in child-onset OCD and will provide invaluable experience for school and counselling psychology graduate students who are members of Lynn’s Anxiety Disorders Lab.
