    September 30: Notify Robert Olaj in the OGPR of your PG LOI Faculty/Department resourcing plans.
    December 1: Contact Burdena Shea at SPARC for resource support and required institutional letter.
    January 15: Draft LOI and budget to SPARC for PG host letter preparation.
    January 30: OGPR deadline for full proposal administrative review and Faculty signature.
    February 12: e-submission (hit “Submit”) to ORS for institutional e-review and final sign-off.
    February 17: SSHRC national deadline.

Special notes: This is a highly time consuming and complex proposal to coordinate among many constituent groups. Please contact Robert Olaj in the OGPR as early as possible if you’re thinking of applying for a PG or if you are considering being a Co-Applicant on a PG.

Value: Stage 1: Letter of Intent Up to $20,000 | Stage 2: Formal Application (by invitation) $500,000 to $2.5 million, with lower or higher amounts considered | 4 to 7 years.
Objectives: To support new and existing formal partnerships over four to seven years to advance research, research training and/or knowledge mobilization in the social sciences and humanities through mutual co-operation and sharing of intellectual leadership, as well as through resources as evidenced by cash and/or in-kind contributions. Planning Grants: Spring 2013

Objective: To provide support for planning activities, partnership development and/or increasing the team’s understanding of the health research landscape that will contribute to the advancement of research consistent with the mandate of CIHR. Peter Wall Distinguished Scholars in Residence Program

Value & Duration: A flexible infrastructure budget of $15,000 | One year

Objectives: The Peter Wall Distinguished Scholars in Residence program is directed at tenure-track Full Professors and senior Associate Professors located at UBC-Vancouver. Emeriti may also apply. Recipients of a past appointment are eligible to apply again after five years of completing their term. Up to six one-year appointments of outstanding senior UBC scholars are made each year.
