Rix Professorship in Rural Education Candidate Presentation – Dr. Schnellert

The Faculty of Education is very pleased to host Dr. Leyton Schnellert, a candidate for the Eleanor Rix Professorship in Rural Education, on November 9 and 10! Dr. Schnellert brings extensive experience of teaching and leading in BC rural teacher education, and works across the province as well as in the Yukon and North West Territories. He researches teacher learning, practice, and collaboration, in particular how teacher professional development relates to student diversity, inclusive education, self- and co-regulation, and literacy instruction.

You are encouraged to attend Dr. Schnellert’s presentation to learn about his research programs, ask questions, and provide feedback to the selection committee. In addition to this Faculty-wide presentation (open to faculty, staff and students), Dr. Schnellert will also be meeting separately with faculty members and graduate students.
