Rix Professorship in Rural Education Candidate Presentation – Dr. Azano

The Faculty of Education is very pleased to host Dr. Amy Azano, a candidate for the Eleanor Rix Professorship in Rural Education, on November 20 and 21! Dr. Azano’s scholarship focuses on rural literacies, place-based pedagogy, and the literacy needs of special populations. She is the co-Principal Investigator of Promoting PLACE (Place, Literacy, Achievement, Community, and Engagement) in Rural Schools.

You are encouraged to attend Dr. Azano’s presentation to learn about her research programs, ask questions, and provide feedback to the selection committee. In addition to this Faculty-wide presentation (open to faculty, staff and students), Dr. Azano will also be meeting separately with faculty members and graduate students.
