Ruth Guo

Ruth Guo, who graduated in 2006, conducted her doctoral research on Information and communication technology (ICT) literacy in teacher education: A case study of the University of British Columbia. Her research was funded in part by a University Graduate Fellowship from UBC.

She joined the Computer Information Systems Department at Buffalo State in 2007 where she specializes in educational technology, ICT and digital literacies, multiliteracies, video ethnography and research methods. Recently, she co-designed a new “EDC Multimedia Studio” in CIS and has been instrumental in working with colleagues on new a vision and cutting edge courses, facilities, and links to other programs for educational technology. In 2015 Ruth was promoted to Full Professor and she was the Recipient for the SUNY Buffalo State President’s Award for Excellence in Research, Scholarship, and Creativity.
