Rose Vukovic

Current Position: Associate Professor, Director of Undergraduate Studies, Educational Psychology, University of Minnesota

My dissertation research focused on the development of mathematical learning disabilities in children from first through fourth grade. My UBC Graduate Fellowship freed me to focus on building a solid research foundation in my master’s program, which set me up to receive funding from both CIHR and SSHRC to complete my doctoral program. Under the mentorship of Dr. Linda Siegel and many wonderful professors, I gained invaluable skills as a scientist-practitioner and learned how to work with communities to ask relevant questions and find appropriate solutions. At the University of Minnesota, I continue to use these skills to prepare the next generation of practitioners and scholars and to lead my field in collaborative and cross-disciplinary approaches to solving school-based problems both nationally and internationally.
