Description: This program permits scholars, for periods other than study leave, to receive a research grant in lieu of salary under certain conditions established by the Canada Revenue Agency. Not that this is not a typical grant; funds are not accessible through a research account. Rather, the program allows researchers to receive a portion of their salary dedicated to research expenses at a differential tax rate.
