Value: up to $50,000 USD
Objectives: Support for research that falls within four areas of inquiry that identify broad topics that the Foundation believes have fundamental and abiding importance for educational improvement: educational and social opportunity, organizational learning, purposes and values of education and teaching, learning and educational resources. Proposals that don’t fit within one of these broad areas may be submitted as a field-initiated proposal.
Application deadlines:
- Tuesday August 4th: OGPR internal review (optional). Email Heather Frost a copy of your application.
- Monday August 17th: OGPR deadline for faculty-level signature. Email Heather Frost a copy of your application and completed RPIF.
- Tuesday August 18th: ORS deadline for institutional RPIF sign-off.
- 2:00 p.m. Thursday August 20th: Spencer foundation deadline.
Special notes:
- The Spencer Foundation specifies that budgets of less than $50,000 may not include indirect costs. Also, it is important that applicants review the Foundation’s FAQ page.
