2014 SSHRC Aid to Scholarly Journals Competition

Lesley Andres, Editor-in Chief of the Canadian Journal of Higher Education (CJHE) was awarded a grant worth $75,600 over 3 years.  The CJHE application was ranked 3rd out of 48.  The Canadian Journal of Higher Education is the fully online, open source journal of the Canadian Society for the Study of Higher Education. Established in 1970, the CJHE publishes peer-reviewed manuscripts on topics that are relevant to the Canadian higher education system and its structures, processes, and community.  It is the only national, refereed research journal in Canada focusing on higher education as a field of scholarly inquiry.  Dr. Andres has been Editor-in-Chief since 2006.

Victor Glickman was awarded a grant worth $90,000 over 3 years to support the Canadian Journal of Education, an open access, national peer-reviewed journal sponsored by the membership of the Canadian Society for the Study of Education. The CJE prioritizes research and scholarly writing that is of relevance to the Canadian education community. The journal is read by scholars worldwide, and aims to represent the valuable contributions that Canadian scholars in education continue to make to the field.  Dr. Glickman is the Past President of CSSE.
