Value: The amount of the grant is variable and is reflected as a reduction in the researcher’s salary and is reported on an income tax T4. Awards take effect July 1 for a maximum of 12 months. No UBC account will be set up for the research grant.
Objectives: This Revenue Canada program allows researchers to assign a portion of their salary for research expenses. Researchers are responsible for reporting their own claims for deductions to Revenue Canada.
